This past Sunday we had a time at the beginning of service to pray over our students prior to their first day back to school. Summer is coming to an abrupt close and soon Christmas carols we will be singing. During our prayer time we asked Christ to equip our students to be witnesses in their classrooms, and lights to their schools. We were motivating and amping them up for a new year, and a new challenge. A challenge to be soldiers for this world and for our faith. As Christians we are to be the hands and feet of Christ, His army…why can’t it start with children?
Churches should be equipping our kids with the tools to handle this world and to understand our highest responsibility…to share the love of Christ to all….to tell the Gospel….to bring glory to our Savior! We should all look at our faith as an extremely important mission we must conquer. We need to begin each day with fire and determination to display Christ and share His name. This world is fallen, and is falling deeper each and everyday. Overseas, Christians right now are literally being persecuted for their belief in our Father, Islam is growing at a radical rate, and immorality is broadening and tearing down the ability for many to ever feel hope in changing.
We must be BOLD and steadfast in sharing what we know of Christ, and your goal each day should be how to exemplify Him. Everyone else can speak their minds….and Christians…SO CAN WE!!!! Share the Truth, share to those you love and care about, and most importantly share to those that are lost. We need not be afraid for Christ is on our side. Let’s rise against persecution of our beliefs and for what Christ stands for….it’s time we begin to act as the hands and feet of God.
We are on a battle ground everyday…we must not be passive in seeing the destruction of our Church (as we are ALL ONE CHURCH BODY).
I hope that we can begin to see a change in our responses to what is going on around us, and what people are accepting as okay. We should be winning more souls for God than anyone could dream of diminishing. The strongest weapon on this planet dwells within us! The Holy Spirit is more powerful than any weapon of mass destruction, prayers to another god, or persuasion of non-belief and defiance of morality. I pray that we are seeking God everyday, and that our actions and words are displaying the nature of Jesus Christ, our Savior, and the one who gave His life so that we may live.
