How to embrace the unknown is a life lesson that will serve you tremendously. There is nothing we can do to control our future. We are not capable of changing the things that are outside our mind. We can all learn how to embrace the unknown so we are stable and confident enough to face the things in life we do not control.
How to embrace the unknown, listen here!
In today’s episode we are talking about the unknown, and how we can embrace it with confidence.
The story of Gideon is so interesting to me. As someone who over-analyzes and doesn’t want to lose control >> I identify with his journey. He questioned his ability and “tested” God’s choice of him to carry out a calling on his life.
I’ve been there before and I know I may be there again and again throughout my life. The truth is it can be hard to be confident in God’s provision and presence in our lives when we are overwhelmed with the reality of our situations, who we “think” we are, and how we “will be”. NOT having clarity on the truth of God, and who He says we are in His word will keep us from living a life that is confident in who God has created you to be, and the mission YOU were made to create.
Self doubt can be paralyzing, but we were not intended to live in doubt and struggle with the reality of God’s truth. When we find awareness in our daily lives, when we can truly have gratitude, God’s truth can and will prevail over our emotions.
An example of God’s truth prevailing over our emotions is clear in the story of Gideon, God called Gideon to be a mighty warrior and free Israel. But Gideon was unsure. Gideon didn’t feel qualified or capable of rising to the occasion God was calling him to answer, and he had self doubts. You see he wasn’t fearful of serving God or following him, but he was in disbelief God chose him to wage war in His name.
