Our minds want us to take the path of least resistance, which is the culmination of the habits we have already established. Whether good or bad, the brain wants to conserve energy and subvert any pain. With this knowledge in mine, we must expect our first response to be all the reason “why not”.
Learning to push past our innate response, we can find freedom in knowing that God is ultimately steering our path, and even if we fail or even if the worst case scenario takes place, there will be purpose in it.
We are free to make mistake; we are free to fail. These are often invaluable lessons that offer opportunity to discover more than we ever thought possible.
It’s not possible to make a notable change when we are staying in the same place. Facing our fears is inevitable when we are making new decisions, and trying new things. Its hard to face difficult conversations, and making choices that will change a lot of what we know. But it’s okay. It’s okay to not have all the answers, or to feel unsure in the process. It doesn’t mean that it isn’t “right” or “not the right time”, it simply means we are pushing ourselves outside of what is normal.
Remember what your ultimate purpose is in life , and stand in the knowledge that we are qualified and worthy in His name!
