The title may seem a little bit sassy, and I intended it to, haha! What does it mean to stay in your own lane, and how does it impact us. This episode of The Thought Vault Podcast will help you find your purpose by staying in your own lane!

This conversation could be a continuation of sorts to a previous Episode 31: The Burden to Better with Heather Creekmore. And I wanted to continue it a bit because I see the pervasiveness of comparison and striving in our culture that sets us up to be routinely discontent, disenchanted, and morose with daily life.
For many of us, we are walking out our lives in many different roles with many responsibilities. We have never been more connected to others in history than we are now, but there has been this rise of needing authenticity due to the ego-driven, self-serving nature with which most people share across the web.
Connection is priceless, community is the heartbeat of our purpose here on Earth. Jesus tells us to go into all the nations and make disciples. We are created to connect, and share. BUT, there is a key piece that has been eroded away in culture today.
And that piece has been the holy nature of Christ.
Why do we share things with people? Most times, it’s because we need something, or we need to align ourselves with an expectation we have of ourselves OR that we are trying to meet with the outside world.
Staying in my own lane has really meant being focused on running my own race with Christ. I don’t have to run against what someone else is doing, or what someone else is convicted by… I simply must show up daily to serve Christ in the circumstance I am currently facing..in my OWN LANE.
I am meant to serve the convictions of my OWN HEART. I am meant to observe what is before me in order to better serve what is around me.
We dive into this and more in this episode! Tune in to Find Your Purpose by Staying In Your Own Lane
Let’s be intentional, let’s steward well what is in front of us, let’s rely on God’s discernment to pervade our choices…let’s simply stay in our own lane so that we don’t miss the journey of our own lives.

I was blessed to find an online small group just before COVID. We’ve met every Monday night for over a year now. Our focus has been studying the Bible from a Jewish person’s point of view. Our connection has been authentic and vulnerable and so rewarding. Because of our study together I know Jesus more and feel His love for me. This connection has been life changing!
Love this! Connection is so very important to a healthy mindset and can greatly influence our relationship with Christ. Happy for you and you new study group!
