Scientists have shown that when people are feeling gratitude or thankfulness their brain activates in areas that release “happy hormones”. People who practice gratitude are less likely to suffer from depression and stress induced medical diagnosis.
Gratitude is good for the body!
When we practice gratitude we are able to change how we feel, and learn to appreciate the areas of our lives that are positive and hopeful. It sounds simple enough, but when is the last time you took time to think about all that is GOOD in your life? Take it another step and ask yourself if you’ve ever written it down? You will be surprised at the amount on your list. Simply having eyes to read or ears to hear is an astounding blessing.
