With a New Year we often set goals that are centered around our health. We want to be healthy and make changes to be healthy. So in this post, we are going to talk about a New Year, and a NEW HEALTHY YOU!
When it comes to health, I’ve always been health conscious. Some seasons more than others. But, overall, my health has been a priority in my daily life.
Most times we think that to be healthy, we must have a diet to follow, or be in a particular season to focus on it. I have found that I can’t stick to being healthy if its an “off-on” thing. For me, health is a lifestyle. It’s not something I focus on for a time period and then move on from. I have trained myself over time to make choices daily that contribute to my health. I don’t wait for when.
In this video, I give away my NUMBER ONE GUIDELINE for healthy living.
What did you think?!
Pretty easy right? This rule of thumb has made it so easy for me to pick and choose the right things for my body, and what it can actually use and process!
When I realized this was how I felt best, this guideline became the staple for how I consistently stick to a healthy lifestyle.
Healthy living isn’t “all or nothing”, it’s more of a “what’s best for me” mentality.

In conjunction with this guideline, I’m very specific with the everyday products we use. This also makes it even easier for my body to take care of itself, and eliminate the junk from it effectively. Our immune system is DRASTICALLY affected by the foods we eat and products we use on and around our bodies.
Living an organic lifestyle has changed the composition of my body, has kept our family from visiting the doctor less than a handful of times for the last four years, and has attributed to better cognition, sleep, and joy.

Healthy living is about giving yourself a gift each day, that will really reap reward as you age. Take care of your body so that you are not wasting your precious time feeling bad.
There is no perfect person who always makes the right choices every single time. It’s definitely more about consistency. I’m the first person raising my hand for a piece of cake at the birthday party, but I’m not eating dessert every.single.day.
We are able to change and teach ourselves different habits! Don’t believe the lie your brain will try to tell you that working out is too hard, or vegetables are gross. Don’t lie to yourself that every time you start a diet you never stick to it, so why try……NOPE! Caste out that life from Satan!
You are strong enough, capable enough, and determined enough to make better choices, most of the time.
It’s not about restriction, it’s about changing what you are consuming, and consciously choosing better.
