Learn how to build a journaling routine and why you should in this post. What is journaling? Journaling is a lot of different things to people. You can doodle, use journal prompt questions, write for a set time limit, write out your prayers…the list goes on. Journaling is often overlooked as a truly helpful tool! That is why we are diving in to the topic today.
Journaling is a release!
Journaling gives you an opportunity to work on your mindset and process feelings that may not be well understood. This is why journaling is a tool for healthy thinking. At times it may not be clear why we are feeling certain emotions, and a journaling routine makes it possible to discover them.
Watch this video on building a journaling routine and why you should, let’s dive in to these tips!
I used to get caught up in the need for a perfect routine or for needing a question to answer, but more awareness and healing, in my case, came from writing down may prayers, and having a record of sorts of God’s faithfulness. It was always so eye-opening to revisit those prayers once they had been answered. What a testament to God’s goodness!
Employing the time limit tip is also a great way to start for beginner journalists. (Yes, I called us journalists) Just write! Write without thinking too much about it, without worrying whether it makes sense or not > just get it out!
Those who establish a journaling routine are physically, mentally, and spiritually healthier. It’s a practice worth establishing!
If you are a planner girl like me, you may be motivated to journal if you have a cute journal and nice pen to use :). That’s another way I get to reward myself and invest in self-care, so go for it!
Journaling, when employed as a regular routine, can help anyone live with more intention, more awareness, and stress management.
We can easily learn how to enjoy life more when we are practiced at working through our ever-changing emotions and circumstances. Give yourself the benefit of intentional thinking! Commit to journaling for the next three days and see how you feel!
