Remember what matters and keep yourself out of the weeds. Often, we get caught in the weeds of our lives. Stuck in the details and losing sight of the point. Life distracts us from what truly matters, and the real purpose of our lives. When I’m super busy or walking through an overwhelming season, I tend to loose sight of what really matters.
We often allow our responsibilities and comparison to steal what truly brings us joy.
We all have roles, habits, hobbies, and more that keep us from focusing on the “good parts” of life. We are living in an environment of consumption that drives our minds away from what God teaches us that matters.
We are capable of living abundant in Christ when we orient our minds towards His truth about life.
Watch this quick video and remember what matters!
Getting out of the weeds of life gives us the energy, joy, and satisfaction to allow the stuff of life that doesn’t matter to fade away. When we keep the Big Picture in mind, we are able to feel the happiness and joy right where we are without being caught in the mire of comparison, materialism, and unabashed consumption.
Focusing on the truth of God, we are able to truly stay driven by the life-giving truth of Jesus Christ.
Much of the anguish we experience in life has to do with the way we react to our circumstances and thoughts. But when we die to ourselves, and live for the word of God, we are fulfilled enough to not be overwhelmed by the inability this world can’t satisfy in us.
